Brandon currently works as a Research Associate II at CUNY Institute for State and Local Governance and as a freelance illustrator. Brandon earned his Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of Miami, where his research examined racial-ethnic inequalities in the criminal legal system and the housing market.

His work appears in Dále News, Clog, Islandia Journal, and Transit Alliance Miami.
